AbstractElongation, coils, and kinks of carotid vessels are rare conditions, and these are often asymptomatic. Rarely, kinking may provide functional symptoms, requiring surgical correction. We report an unusual case of internal carotid artery kinking causing pharynx compression with dysphagia. Patient underwent carotid-carotid bypass graft. His dysphagic symptom improved markedly at 1-month follow-up control.
