This study presents the results of a focus group with post-stroke and brachial plexus injury subjects, aiming at defining the functional and technical requirements of a novel upper-limb (UL) assistive device. According to participants’ responses, the device will integrate an UL exoskeleton, functional electrical stimulation, and a sensory feedback glove, to restore both motor and sensory functions.

Abstract

This study presents the results of a focus group with post-stroke and brachial plexus injury subjects, aiming at defining the functional and technical requirements of a novel upper-limb (UL) assistive device. According to participants’ responses, the device will integrate an UL exoskeleton, functional electrical stimulation, and a sensory feedback glove, to restore both motor and sensory functions.
